Tires for Transalp

Of course all these tires are available in numerous sizes, I just listed those being relevant to Transalp. This isn´t a complete list, of some brands (Yokohama f.e.) I´ve got no data.

Please note, that Transalp´s required speed index is "S". Some tires have "T" or even "H" index. Since this is higher than "S", those tires can be mounted without any problems. Some tires, however, have an "R" or "P" index (some Pirellis). This is lower than "S" and should be used only on private ground or with a well visible sticker in the cockpit, reading "170 km/h max" or "150 km/h max", repectively. Tires not being in accordance with TA's tire specifications are marked with an asterix (*). 120/90 tires are for '97-> models.

According to the ECE 75 specifications, the tire characteristics 130/80-17 65 S, f.e., stand for:

130:width of tire in mm
80:relation width/height in %
-: stands for diagonal type tire, radial type tires have an "R" instead of "-"
17:rim diameter in inch
65:load index (65, f.e., stands for 290 kg)
S:speed index
