I do my very best to tell the correct things, but of course I can give you no warranty!
Tools needed:
philips screwdriver
SW10 wrench
possibly a funnel
appr. 1.75 ltr of ready to use antifreeze coolant, for the use in aluminium engines
(f.e. BelRay)
Steps to be taken:
Remove the right front fairing and the engine guard
open the right radiator's cap. WARNING! Don't open the cap while coolant is hot!
The cooling system is under pressure, so the coolant will bubble out and scald
your fingers.
open the coolant draining screw.
It's the lower leftmost
screw on the waterpump. The waterpump you'll find on the left side of the engine
below the generator's cap (Pic. 1).
Be sure, the balancing jar is empty, too. The balancing jar is the white plastic
jar with the black cap peeping out on the left side bewtween the rear cylinder and the
frame tube (Pic. 3).
close the draining screw ;-)
fill new coolant into right radiator (Pic. 3), until the level reaches
the small run over hose (arrow). Once an amount of coolant has run over into balancing
jar, you might fill the jar up to "Full" mark (Pic. 2).
replace the radiator cap, the engine guard and the fairing - ready.
